3) Please improve your thinking and try to write about women in a positive and progressive manner so the young readers can be inspired to be strong, educated and independent women. It is a necessity to empower women as they have been treated as cattle and sheep for far too long in our society. If people are still writing this stuff, it means they find it normal or common in society and do not feel any unease about any of the issues. It is enough to say that this portrayal of our society sickens me.

2) Her family arranges her marriage without even asking her and then leave her to deal with all the bad consequences. At every level, the woman is abused. I particularly hated the part where the police comes and drags the woman from her brother's house and "gives" her to her husband and no one asked her what she wanted like she was an animal. If the writer intended to criticise the abuse in Pakistani society, she failed miserably and actually praised the woman for withstanding rape, abuse and torture.

I cannot express my disappointment in words after reading this novel. I only finished it because I wanted to see how far the writer is willing to go to demean women. I cannot believe that the today's writers can still write this sort of stuff as if it shows the true picture of women's rights in Pakistani society then everyone should be ashamed. The writer expresses the main female character as a stupid person who has no right to choose what she wants and keeps making silly decisions. It is actually a pride war between two males and they use the girl as a piece of furniture to trade with each other, in order to win their ego battles. The girl has no opinions, no say in any matter and no support from anyone.
