Qaisra Hayat after discussion with her best friend Umera Ahmed, written this novel on the topic of alcoholism and alcohol addiction and how this alcoholism destroys not only indivuduals life but also the whole family. Pul-e-Sarat also discusses how many among us think alcoholism is not bad and can be tolerated but they forget that alcoholism is prohibited strictly and declared the mother of all evils.
